I love sharing inspirational quotes. When I had my previous blog, I never really shared any, I kept them to myself on my Pinterest board thinking that no one else besides me was reading them. I spoke of my hiatus on blogging in my about me page and if some of you have read it, you’ll know that I had LOTS of stuff going on at the time and pretty much quit. I lost to myself. Reading Wilma Rudolph’s quote reminds me of that lost, but I share these motivating words with you because from my experience, they have worked for me! When I’m feeling self-doubt, a good quote is a good pick me up. It helps me rethink, strategize and focused. I become confident again .[/right]
When I talk about confidence, it always circles back to personal style. I’ve always been a believer that your personal style is truly a reflection of yourself. When we feel confident about our own self image, that transcends into our overall mindset.
WHY I’VE BEEN FOCUSING ON COMFORTABLE STYLE
I’ve mentioned in a previous post how I like to stay ready to run after my son at any given moment. lol. And this is one of the main reasons why I have been focusing on comfortable style. I want to look great but also be ready to chase after my little boy when he gets ready to run for it! Haha.
Comfort and confidence goes hand in hand in my book. I love wearing platforms + high heels (but not too high). Occasionally, I need to scale back and wear a nice, everyday outfit and this look right here, hones in on that. There’s nothing like wearing plain jeans, a plain black tee and a jacket. It’s a simple look, but looks great!
HOW TO SIMPLY STYLE A GREEN BOMBER JACKET
I simply styled this look by pairing black suede heels with jeans, a black tee-shirt and an Olive Green Bomber Jacket. I found this jacket on sale at Forever 21.
This look is:
stylish
comfortable
simple
cute
& sort of kid friendly!
