In this DIY Bathroom Makeover video, I take this bathroom from boring to amazing with a budget of $300. This is a Kids/Guest bathroom makeover, which is something I’ve been meaning to get around to for the past year when we first moved in, but I was not able to get to every room. You know, cause mom life, kids, wifey, you know how it is, the list goes on! In this luxury bathroom remodel, I provide so much information in this video that you can use whether you’re updating a bathroom or kitchen or any other room. The YouTube video is jam packed with lots of information, I won’t write everything out in this blog post, but you can watch the video below for ALL the tips and tricks I’ve provided.
I start by painting the bathroom. I am using Behr by Home Depot in a Satin finish. The color is White Pepper.
For the cabinet, I use Home Depot from the Behr Marquee line in the color Inked Blue.
Just look at how subway tiles change the space. It adds bold impact and catches your eye. I use regular subway tiles that were SUPER cheap! $15 a box. I used 3 boxes for this wall. For the grout, I used Bright White grout. Both items I purchased at Home Depot.
I was looking for appropriate quotes for a kid’s bathroom. We always talk about confidence, raising young black boys, the Marcus Garvey quote really resonated with me. My husband actually found that one. For the top quote, one of my favorites – Wisdom begins in Wonder – Socrates. Also the black frames were purchased at Dollar Tree and only cause $2. I used my regular printer and regular printer paper to print out the quotes. Easy peasy!
With paint, just a little bit of art and a new shower curtain, this bathroom was totally transformed.
I’m so excited that this bathroom remodel came out amazing. It was a 4 day project, and definitely something that a homeowner can task themselves with for a weekend project. This is a bathroom remodel, bathroom makeover that is in the do-it-yourself category. The price list is in the video and everything came to under $300. I did not mention in the video, you can roller paint your cabinets if you do not have a sprayer. I am still so happy with the way the DIY bathroom makeover came out.
