As times change, people change and I’ve come to discover two things about myself. I love DIY projects and documenting things I’ve done along the way. I started YouTube in September 2020 and I could not be prouder. I toggled with the idea for about a long while, more than a year, longer than it should have taken me before finally hitting the publish button on my first video. Now that I’ve pulled the trigger on starting my channel, I’m looking back on some of my thrifted transformation projects wishing I had recorded them! My husband had been telling me to do it the whole time, I should’ve listened. I have to admit, it’s a great source of accomplishment and pride to look back on something I’ve completed and say “I did that.” I know so many people can relate!

I’ve always been intrigued by home-builders or contractors. To literally take something from nothing and create a structure was always inspiring to me. Instead of pursuing this interest, I stalled for years and decided to go in a different direction with my career. In the back of my mind, in my gut - this feeling of interior design, home decor, and this world of creating a beautiful home - kept coming back to me.

I finally listened to my intuition and DIY'd two Ikea Rast dressers. From there, I began painting rooms, installing wall art, updating vintage furniture and more. I wanted to document my process and that's one of the reasons why I created my YouTube channel; to show people my hacks of creating a home that I love. I am definitely a person who loves the look of high-end, but I’m also impressed when I can whip up the same look within a smaller budget. This is one of the reasons why I love transforming thrifted pieces!

As I grow, and become more confident to create bigger projects, I hope you’ll come along for the ride!
