Hi! I'm Niky Foster! Lover of DIY projects, home design, and all sorts of creativity! I started my YouTube channel as a way to document my projects and now I'm here to share my tips, tricks and creative ideas with you!
A few weeks back, I pulled up to my driveway and was incredibly disappointed.
My front porch. Bare. Unkept. Ugly. 😟
I felt the ultimate pull to redecorate and update my front porch for fall immediately.
This is what my front porch looked like before.
See what I mean? So right there in the driveway, I started taking notes on what I needed to buy and how I would do it. Pumpkins, wreath, a new door mat. I’ve been wanting to diy my own door mat, so I did that too.
DIY Fall Front Porch
I love fall and I love when I see pumpkins stacked on the corners of front porches. It just adds to the happy, sentimental feeling of fall. Cozy vibes if you will.
Another thing I loved about the idea of redoing my front porch for fall is having the entrance to my home look cute, welcoming. It’s makes a statement before guests even walk in. Ya know what I mean?
Easy DIY Door Mat
As I mentioned, I have been dying to try out making my own doormat. And as you will see in my vlog/video, I tried and failed before getting it just right for me. I diyed this custom “The Fosters” door mat and I absolutely love the way it turned out! It helped me to feel accomplished because I had set my mind to do something and I did it. Even though it was super easy to do, the action and intention behind it meant a lot!
