Hey peeps! I never knew how much I liked red and light blue together until this year.  When I wore this it dawned on me and ever since I’ve been incorporating the color combination any time I can.

Breaking Down The Almost-Minimal Style:

Jeans
Getting dressed with style is easier than you think. It needs to start with a solid foundation of, well…jeans. For casual style, the easiest item you can have on hand is a comfy pair of favorite jeans. The jeans I’m wearing are technically the “boyfriend” fit, which is perfect because they’re not too tight and not too loose. I personally LOVE the high-waist style, but if you’re not into it, you can choose mid-rise jeans to get a similar look.

Shopping Tip: Sometimes you need to see yourself in a picture to know if you really like how the jeans fit. Buy a few pair, take some selfies in the mirror and sleep on it overnight. Make your final decision in a few days and then return the ones you decide not to keep. Easy peasy.

Shoes
Comfortable shoes are the name of the game and I’m not ashamed of wearing flats or shorter heels. For years I would buy high heels and then they would just sit in the closet, unworn and almost forgotten about. How many of you have experienced this? Raise your hands! Got any shoes you’re not wearing? You can:
– sell
– donate to charity
– give away to family & friends
That’s exactly what I did. There is no sense in keeping shoes that you’re not going to wear; they take up valuable real estate in your closet.

Earrings
It’s impossible to not gravitate toward tassel earrings! I personally have been eyeing these beauties probably for the last two years. They’re fun and they really spice up any look. Pairing tassel earrings with any top, sweatshirt, or tee will make a big impact, even if the rest of your look is more simple.
Style Tip: Try pairing with a simple white tee and jeans!

Bodysuit
This off-shoulder bodysuit is the business. I love the way it fits with high waist jeans. If you’re not into bodysuits, you can wear this look with a regular red crop tee-shirt or a longer tee with the half tuck. Either way, this simple 4 piece, almost minimal look is a win.

This casual spring outfit inspiration is totally wearable to the office, bbq, weekend shopping or drinks with the girls.
