Ever put a crop top or crop sweater on and start second guessing yourself? Wondering why does this look so weird? Maybe it was paired with the wrong pants, styled with the wrong low-rise jeans or just simply didn’t look good on you.
This “how to wear a crop sweater” moment came to me after a battle with one or all of the above. Deciding to pair this crop sweater with a hi lo polyester top gave a whole new way to wear a crop sweater.
First of all, this look is perfect to wear for transitioning from winter to spring. Second, this lightweight hi lo top is actually a plus size top. It fits like a tunic on me, so it was creative way to style a crop sweater. Yayy me! Insert applause here.
If you’re not into leggings, you can totally pull this look off with jeans and still look cute and comfy.
HOW TO STYLE IT
Crop Sweater
Crop sweaters are a great way to wear sweaters without all the bulk. I personally like wearing them for early spring and fall. The temps during these months are just the right degrees to be comfortable in anything.
Leggings
Leggings, leggings, leggings. These bad boys go with everything. You guys know what to do with leggings, I don’t even have to tell you. I will mention that my favorite type of leggings to wear are ponte leggings. They’re thicker like pants. Ooh ooh, or the ones with some sort of compression in it to slim out the tummy area!
Floral Hi Lo Tunic
Florals can be worn all year round, but you’ll notice that a lot of shops have many more flowery options during the spring and summer months. I’m not even the biggest fan of tunics, but this one with the hi lo silhouette, I knew I could do things with!
